WHAT IS DTAC?
The District Annual Toastmasters Conference (DTAC) is the biggest annual event organized by a Toastmasters District — held once a year to celebrate achievements, conduct contests, and provide leadership and learning opportunities.
Purpose
DTAC brings together members from all clubs within a Toastmasters District. Our goals are to:

Mark Brown is an internationally acclaimed Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) and a World Champion of Public Speaking known for his dynamic presentations and executive coaching. Rising from humble beginnings, he migrated from Jamaica to the U.S. with only $40, eventually defeating over 20,000 contestants to win the 1995 Toastmasters World Championship.

Motivational Speaker, Guinness World Record Holder & UAE’s First Wheelchair-Bound Personal Trainer
Sujith Koshy Varghese is a Dubai-raised motivational speaker, Guinness World Record holder, and the first wheelchair-bound personal trainer in the UAE. His story is defined by extraordinary resilience; after a bike accident at age 20 left him paralyzed, he underwent 18 surgeries and moved beyond physical limitations to pull 1,200 kg cars and set world records.

Richard
One of Dubai’s most experienced business journalists
Born and raised in the UK, he moved to Dubai in 1998, covering the region for some of the world’s leading media outlets including the Financial Times, The Economist and Reuters. As a broadcaster, Richard was launch presenter of Dubai Eye’s award-winning Business Breakfast show back in 2006. He moved to London as anchor presenter with Bloomberg Radio before returning to Dubai Eye. Richard earned the nickname “The Three Degrees” for his qualifications in economics, history and mass communication. He lives in Dubai with his wife, two sons and two pugs. When not on air, he enjoys taking part in marathons and triathlons.
