WHAT IS DTAC?

The District Annual Toastmasters Conference (DTAC) is the biggest annual event organized by a Toastmasters District — held once a year to celebrate achievements, conduct contests, and provide leadership and learning opportunities.

Purpose

DTAC brings together members from all clubs within a Toastmasters District. Our goals are to:

  • Celebrate member and club achievements for the year
  • Conduct District-level speech contests (e.g. International Speech, Evaluation, Table Topics, etc.)
  • Hold leadership elections for the next Toastmasters year
  • Offer educational workshops and keynote speeches by renowned speakers
  • Facilitate networking and fellowship among members

Structure

A 2-day event and includes:

  • Opening Ceremony & Parade of Banners (clubs showcase their banners)
  • Speech Contests (District-level finals)
  • Workshops & Keynotes (on communication, leadership, and personal growth)
  • Hall of Fame / Awards Ceremony
  • District Council Meeting (official business and elections)
  • Gala Dinner and/or Cultural Night

Participants

  • Club officers, members, contest winners, district leaders, and guests
